Built in 1906 by Heilmann and Littmann, this four-storey reinforced concrete structure was designed as a “garage for electric-powered vehicles”. Over the years, its different owners made various changes internally and walled up most of the ground floor openings. The recent conversion of the entire building to accommodate an advertising agency with 60 employees was based on an open-plan concept, which was seen as an appropriate form for creative teamwork. The layout of the working booths on the upper floors follows the earlier division into parking spaces. In consultation with the conservation authorities, the street facade was opened up again.
