A striking feature of the two taller sections of this former military complex in Münster are the unusual roof glazing strips. Since the end of the 1990s, the Reiter Barracks have been used by a number of universities and colleges, and the architecture has been duly adapted. By activating the formerly unused attic spaces, the Academy of Art has acquired two new studios of equal size. The existing roof structures were removed and replaced by a form of construction without intermediate columns. As a result, the floor areas can be used in many different ways.
