Viewed from the street, the Casa Costa residential building, designed by the Catalan team of Arquitectura G, has an hermetic character. However, it only appears this way. On the side facing the garden courtyard, the building envelope displays generous, glazed sliding doors that can be opened completely. As a result, the entire house becomes a loggia. The name of the building originates in its site, bordering Carrer de la Costa. The street is situated in the district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi in the hilly surroundings northwest of the old town of Barcelona.
