Holborn House is named after the district of central London in which it stands. The neighbourhood community association, which has a more than 100-year history, previously occupied a dilapidated 1960s gymnasium. In order to expand it and transform it into a lively, pleasant place 6a architects replaced the single-storey entrance building with a two-storey lightweight glazed structure whose spaces allow for different uses.
