The outer facades of this headquarters building of a manufacturer of composite timber products are distinguished by areas of vertical wooden louvres offset from floor to floor. These mask the tripartite division of the four-storey structure into two 15-metre-wide office tracts with a glazed atrium between. Above ground floor level, the form of construction consists entirely of prefabricated timber elements. Access to the various levels is via a central main staircase, while at each end of the atrium there is an additional escape staircase outside the glazed facade.

The layout of the two office tracts on each floor comprises a row of five modules that are independent in terms of their mechanical ser-vices. The modules, in turn, consist of a row of five prefabricated floor elements in timber-panel construction 11.40 x 2.80 metres in size – the maximum dimensions of the company’s own oriented-strand boards. At the corners, these elements are borne by laminated-timber columns. Wall panels in the facade construction serve as a means of bracing.
