With a change of sponsorship, this two-storey nursery school dating from 1990 was given a new name, “Traumbaum” or Tree of Dreams. The Baupiloten (Building Pilots), a team of architectural students, were invited to enliven the corridors of the nursery school. Initially, the children painted their ideas and built models of the dream tree. As realized, the mirror-like stainless-steel leaves reflect light from the atrium into the ground floor spaces, and they can produce different sounds. The tree stimulates the imagination and helps the children to communicate, thereby overcoming their many different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
