Designed for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in what was an undeveloped area, the structure was given a neutral cubic form. The outer skin consists of a filigree steel framework clad with glass and a layer of blue glass-fibre mesh, which serves at night as a projection screen for advertising events. The interior of the building is a labyrinthine spatial continuum, with routes leading down to three studios on the lower floor and up to the main foyer on the first floor. From there, one has access to the large concert hall – a space laid out like a terraced vineyard. Suspended within the steel framework, the hall seems to float in the air. The structure of its undulating internal cladding was designed to meet acoustic needs.
