The building formerly served as the headquarters of the Dutch postal savings bank. The flat longitudinal annex was demolished. The tower received a three-storey rooftop extension and was converted to residential use.

De Voortuinen (in English: front garden) features dwelling spaces with clear room heights of 2.90 m, surrounded by 120 trees. Such projects lead us to think of single family houses or urban villas, rather than a 14 torey highrise volume.
