When it comes to introducing BIM methods in Europe, Norway plays a leading role. In 2008 the public building authority, Statsbygg, published an initial set of BIM standards. Since 2010 public con struction projects require creating an ICF model that can also serve as basis for operating a build ing. advantages that these models pose.
