The office building created by the planners of cepezed in Delft follows the Cradle to Cradle principle. According to this principle, the required elements for building a structure shouldn't result from a recycling process, but instead be reused within a closed cycle as long as possible. If the building use has expired, the elements should be reused someplace else. For this purpose, components need to be removed and separated without damaging them. Planning needs to consider what happens after use if this concept is to be implemented successfully.
