After Graz and Vorarlberg, Tyrol is now a further region of Austria to attract international attention with its architecture. The MPreis supermarket chain could be cited as an example of this. Its particularly dynamic development is all the more remarkable for three reasons. Firstly, the chain is active in only a limited, clearly defined region, namely Tyrol. Secondly, at a time when the supermarket sector is increasingly dominated by big, anonymous concerns, MPreis remains firmly in family hands. Thirdly, the image of the company is distinguished by a varying but always appropriate architectural appearance.
