Amandus Samsøe Sattler, DGNB: When Will the System Change for Sustainability?

Amandus Samsøe Sattler is President of the German Sustainable Building Council and founding partner of Allmann Sattler Wappner Architekten in Munich. Since 1993 his team has realized many internationally award-winning buildings, from high-rise residential buildings to museums and churches. He has taught at various colleges and universities in Germany and France. For him, addressing building culture and ecology are among the core responsibilities of architecture.
14 years after its foundation, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has made great strides, with much more on the horizon. In this interview, Amandus Samsøe Sattler, president of the non-profit organization, looks at changes in the construction industry and calls on politicians to support targeted systemic change.
