The three linked industrial halls known as the “Centenary Hall” were built in 1902 for a trade exhibition in Düsseldorf. A year later, they were moved to Bochum, where they initially served the Krupp concern as a gas power plant. Later, down to the early 1980s, they were used as a machine hall.
