Discussion: Revitalization of a Derelict Waterside Area – the Rummelsburg Bay Development in Berlin

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the German capital has been rediscovering the urban qualities of its 654-kilometre-long waterside areas and reactivating them. Along the banks of the River Spree, which formed the border between the two halves of the city for almost 30 years, a series of projects has been implemented on what was industrial wasteland.
