A two-storey printing works, built in 1924, was converted into lawyers' offices. The newly inserted elements (translucent acrylic panels, corrugated fibreglass, timber and metal fittings) were deliberately juxtaposed with the old structure (exposed brick walls, wood and concrete floors). A two-storey-high bulging entrance wall leads to the heart of the building, where a timber staircase rises like a freestanding sculpture....
