In Zurich-Albisrieden, a heterogeneous, up-and-coming district well connected to the city centre, seventeen new apartments have been built atop a 1940s commercial structure. Zurich-based architects Annette Spillmann and Harald Echsle developed a concept in which the maisonnette units interlock.
