The entrance to the office is reached via a broad, dark passageway, which also serves as an access route to the rear courtyard of this loft building. The curved inner lining in-serted in the initial lobby space is in the form of a prefabricated, vertical tube, which is rear-lighted in part. It was manufactured by a boat-building firm from glass-fibre-reinforced plastic sheets. The unit was cut to fit after installing the sliding glass entrance door – set on the rake – and was stabilized by filling the void between the tube and the existing brickwork with synthetic foam. As a result, one has the impression that it was formed in-situ. The cut-out opening leading to the staircase has the same shape as the cross-section of the tube.
