In spring Little Red Riding Hood opened its flagship store in Berlin. From the street shoppers see only mannequins and surreal images projected on a screen. The sales room, which is in the basement, is a kind of modern fantasy. Smooth white plastic curves all around the walls, niches and hollows hold the items for sale and even the supporting columns are fitted with compartments. Free-standing plastic units serve as seats, display cases or tables. The wood-framed GRP panels were made with the help of CAD sections of the wall at every two metres. Contrasting with the plastic are exposed ventilation pipes on the ceiling and the varnished screed floor, further emphasised by perimeter lighting.
