Above the Fenix I development – the former Holland-America Line warehouse in Rotterdam’s Rijnhaven – rise 200 new dwellings. The original 140-metre-long and 40-metre-wide two-storey hall, a steel skeleton frame structure with brick infill dating from the 1920s, has been rehabilitated and converted. Today, one finds here offices, restaurants and parking facilities, as well as training spaces for two circus schools and a dance theatre, plus six further dwellings.
