The design of this three-floor Finnish Institute attempts to strike a balance between its modern, specifically Finnish character and the 1862 Haussmann building and Parisian location. Previous use had already punctured the original façade. Space limitations necessitated meticulous interior planning, and much attention was devoted to details, to choice of materials and surface treatments. The main entrance is marked by 12 mm thick solid brass doors, with small inset glass spyholes.
