Constructions with limited use life span should be built in a way that enables easy demolition and reuse of components. It is seldom the case that they can be completely relocated to a new site. The Floating Office Rotterdam in the city’s harbour is capable of both. The new, three storey floating structure was designed by the architectural office Powerhouse Company. RED Company, a firm created by Powerhouse co-founder Nanne de Ru in 2015, is the project developer and owner, all in one. Both enterprises occupy the first floor and part of the “ground” floor above the waterline.
