The camp, which accommodates ninety guests, belongs to a non-profit organisation and is located about 40 kilometres northwest of Barcelona. Although the site is in a nature preserve, approval for the new structures was awarded: the total volume does not exceed that of an L-shaped building that was recently demolished here. Now three clusters of structures unified by their form and a silver-grey rendering occupy the site. Their asymmetrical pyramid roofs and crisp lines contribute to the abstract, monolithic impression they make. The interiors, in contrast, are surprisingly complex. Above the concrete-block walls, the attic space – with its pre-fabricated steel structure – is visible through an aluminium grille.
