Exploiting the topography of this narrow, steeply sloping site, the architects have cre-ated a house with an extensive spatial programme, stacking four storeys on top of each other in a tower-like arrangement, with two living and two sleeping levels.

Glimpses of the hillside are afforded by a fascinating sequence of external spaces – an entrance court with access stairs and an outdoor living area one storey lower – while views of the lake and landscape are staged through the large windows and the glazed doors that can be slid aside into the walls.
