To make space for the present building, the existing structure and the lush screening vegetation on the site had to be removed. The foliage that had filtered light and shielded the former single-family house from the heavy traffic of the road nevertheless played a major role in the present design. The new steel-and-glass building is closed off from the street by a two-layer white aluminium screen with openings in what resembles an organic pattern. On the entrance level are two two-storey units that can be rented out to business or private clients for short periods and used for various purposes. Courtyards at different levels afford access to the open air.
