The development was laid out with a five to six-storey spine along the southern edge of the site. This strip, which screens the inner areas of the estate from a busy main road, contains 97 dwellings, with shops on the ground floor. Laid out at right angles to the spine are two further strips with a total of 112 dwellings. The initial development has since been extended by the addition of further tracts based on the same layout principle, which was established through an urban planning competition. In the quiet garden courtyard, the lightly sloping topography of the site was carefully landscaped to provide a space for recreation and leisure. The courtyard is oriented to the open countryside and affords views of the Taunus hills. The courtyard structures contain dwellings on the four upper floors and parking areas on the open ground floor and at basement level. The cantilevered deck over the garages provides open terraces for the first floor flats. In the tract parallel to the road, there are no south-facing loggias, but the large areas of fenestration along the north side are designed as folding, sliding elements to allow a flowing transition between indoors and outdoors. Each of the long window strips marks a dwelling unit.
