In an exemplary way, the new building of the State Institute for Bee Science, originally founded in 1963, shows how even a laboratory building can offer its users a near-nature, healthy indoor climate. Lanz Schwager Architekten developed a timber building for the University of Hohenheim campus that strictly follows ecological principles. Harmoniously coexisting with its surroundings, the building displays a restrained impression and serves as a striking symbol for bee conservation.
