At a first glance, the new kindergarten in Ittingen presents itself as a stringent timber construction with strict geometry. A closer look reveals the meandering interior courtyard behind the filigree slats of the facade. The new building expands the existing school complex in Rain, located near the northern urban fringe of Bern. Büro B Architekten designed the kindergarten as a type of architecture that relates to nature and is appropriate for children.
