The young architects Nicolas Laisné and Manal Rachdi, who were also invited to participate in the housing competition, asked Sou Fujimoto to join the team. With an idea that the latter had been pursuing for a long time, they won first prize and erected a housing block resembling a gleaming white tree, on the branches of which people can live outdoors to a large extent – L’Arbre Blanc.
