The leisure studio was designed and built by four students of architecture. The building was presented at the Leisure Housing Fair held in Espoo in early June 1992. It is conceived as a flexible and versatile house for various artists to live and work in. The studio is unheated and not intended for winter use. A small kitchen and washing facilities together with a sauna are located in a dark central core of stone, which also acts as a thermal store. The skin of the building is transparent, the individual acrylic glass sheets affixed by means of clear adhesive tape to the wooden structure.
