The owner of this small house is a collector of vintage cars. A large internal lift allows vehicles to be presented on either of the two lower levels. The top of the lift fits unobtrusively into the stone flooring, while the lift floor consists of acrylic glass in a steel frame. Guests can descend on it to the basement dining area. When the lift is raised, the sunken sitting area beneath becomes accessible. All three storeys of the house are linked by a steel-and-glass staircase. Its sand-blasted glass treads and landings, together with the transparent lift floor, afford extensive views and allow light to flow through the house.
