Berlin is growing and, thus, the city’s demand for daycare facilities. In order to meet the demand in a quick and cost-efficient way, in 2017 the Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing launched the program “Modular Daycare Buildings for Berlin” (Modulare Kita-Bauten für Berlin, Mokib) and advertised two architectural competitions.
