Next to an old warehouse in the Humboldt port on the river Spree in Berlin is a new building housing offices and exhibition space. Its tripartite volume echoes the older building. A central hall, with overhead natural lighting and ventilation, is flanked by lower office tracts. Their double skin glazed façades span between the four corner stair towers and take up the rhythm of the façades of the old part. A small technical block bridges the gap between old and new.
