lan Ritchie Architects designed the three storey 80 000 square feet nett B 8 building at Stockley Park. B 8 is an elegant building designed with a hierarchy of scale such that each component and its treatment relates proportionally to the other. The result is one of harmony, where the eye is not disturbed, yet the building is visually alive. The architects sought simplicity combined with good environmental performance and economy. The cladding is neither a conventional curtain wall nor a stick assembly, but is based on a panel 2988 mm wide and 1346mm high, held by four pins to mullions.
