On Walther Rathenau Square on the outskirts of Karlsruhe, the church and community hall of the Protestant Petrus Jacobus community stand opposite each other as two independent volumes. The uniform limewashed brick facades and the roofs of different heights and pitches unite the various sections of the structure to form a whole.
