Transformation of the long-redundant 1870s former goods warehouse and train shed into a multi-purpose concert, exhibition and conference centre is an example of a profoundly successful conversion and reuse. Stephen Tierney was appointed to regenerate the rear of the building which now accomodates the main auditorium with a seating capacity of 8 000. Shay Cleary had responsibility to convert the stone and brick front building into an entrance foyer, bar and restaurant.
