To the south, the two classroom tracts of the Fermi Secondary School open via access balconies on to a park-like environment. Implemented as part of the educational initiative Torino fa scuola, the rehabilitation of the school is a pioneering scheme for the urban district in which it stands on the outskirts of Turin. It is a prime example of the sustainable redevelopment of a concrete skeleton-frame structure.
