The former Congress Hall of the Deutsches Museum is located on Isar island in the heart of Munich. Before the ‘Forum der Technik’, Planetarium and Imax Cinema moved in 30 years ago the building was renowned for performances by Jimi Hendrix and The Who and concerts by Herbert von Karajan and Maria Callas. After standing empty for seven years new life was injected into the 1930s structure in April 2017.

In the left half of the ground floor a vegetarian restaurant with a terrace overlooking the Isar and an Electronic music club (both called Blitz) moved in. Although they were conceived as temporary venues and are only meant to stay open until 2023, it is hard to imagine the city without them at this point. This is especially true for the 600 m² club, which has set standards in many areas.
