This site on Sweden’s southern coast possesses a meandering stream flanked by a variety of plants: a veritable botanical garden in an otherwise agrarian landscape.

Mock-ups were made to study the residence’s outer envelope, which consists of load-bearing LECA blocks and a veneer of solid brick. Because the back of the brick has a more pronounced texture, the architects decided to use it as the front.

The bricks possess a rich range of colours; these are underscored by the lavishly applied grey mortar partially covering them. Inside the house, the flooring and the frames around the windows and doors are also in brick. Vistas from room to room or out into the landscape interweave interior and exterior.
