Bugenhagenstrasse is a quiet, yet centrally located side street in Berlin-Moabit, traditionally a working class quarter. For a long time the area was one of the last in Berlin’s inner city that gentrification had seemed to have avoided. Currently, revalorization and renewal are in full swing. The residential building comprises a timber hybrid structure, realised by rundzwei Architekten. It occupies
a narrow lot, vacant since the end of World War II. In a
