The site chosen by the architects for their own?home was unusual enough – on top of a 1960s office block – but the expressive, flowing forms of their design represent a truly different interpretation of a “loft conversion”. The sculptural lines on the outside are mirrored inside in a harmonious continuum of 230 m2 of space, the furniture and fittings playing a large part in the dynamics. Changes in floor height mark out areas for different functions; the kitchen sits on a platform next to the ramp leading up to the lounge. On both sides of the apartment are terraces (one with a pool) with views across the city. A main feature in the lounge is a leather platform supported on structural glass and cantilevered out beyond the roof of the building beneath.
