Thanks to the restrained articulation of its building massing, the school fits in well in the town’s smaller-scale fabric. Because the site is sloped, the lower level is not visible from the street. A lightweight structure on the roof calls attention to the main entrance. Inside, two separate volumes constitute the building’s core: the atrium with its sculptural stair, and the theatre and adjacent gymnasium. The arrangement of aluminium elements provides structure to the triple-glazed facade. A ribbon of bright colours accentuates the entry level. The bronze colour scheme employed on the 3 levels containing the classrooms – which are arranged according to the grade level – creates a link to the campus’s existing buildings.?
