At a first glance, the austere school in Laufen near Basel resembles an industrial building. Nevertheless, the shed roof structure clad in untreated aluminium conceals classrooms that receive ample daylight and fresh air. The pedagogical context demonstrates continuous change. Thomas Fischer Architekten therefore designed a robust building structure that meets all requirements for the flexible design of the classrooms and the curriculum.
