Abstraction and restraint make the new Aesop KLCC shop under the Petronas Towers a place of meditative calm. A curtain of white tubes extending from the ceiling to the floor sheathes the walls. Evenly spaced downlights yield uniform light.

All of the visitor’s attention is directed to the testing sink clad in pre-patinated copper; the material picks up on the brown hues in the product packaging. The drama of the furnishings invites shoppers to test the items on display.

The shelves are like windows cut out of the powder-coated white aluminium tubes; the latter are situated at a distance from the wall. Two corners of each shelf are welded to rear of the tubes, making the shelving appear to float.
