After observing the required distance to the site boundaries, a width of just 4.70 m was available for this house. A thin, economical outer wall construction with a good U-value was therefore chosen. From the outside, the reflective qualities of the 60 mm white polycarbonate web panels make the volume seem narrower than it is.

Internally, they are like a membrane on which the shapes of the trees are visible. As sound insulation against rain and hail, a 40 mm second skin was added on the inside. Over the large, column-free openings in the long faces, room-height concrete girders – tied to the gallery balustrade over the living room and to the floors and the solid roof slabs – form a means of bracing.
