A design absorbed by the surrounding landscape, passive use of solar energy and »green architecture« were the paramount ecological elements of this project. Due to the form of development - four split-level row houses with a predominantly glazed south facade - the ensemble was subtly integrated into the susceptible environs. The vaulted roofs planted with wild herbs and interrupted only by pyramidal glass domes nestle into the terraced slope formed by excavation. Together with the planted garage roofs partially exploited as herb gardens, some 90% of the 350 sq.m. individual plots comprise useable open area.
