The architect couple designed their own holiday home located in the ski resort of Kvitfjell north of Lillehammer. They opted for a construction comprised almost entirely of timber. The site is located in the mountains, at an elevation of nearly 1000 m. Casper and Lexie Mork-Ulnes intended to intervene as little as possible into the surrounding natural environment and its wildlife. For this purpose, the building is placed on stilts, leaving the ground below mostly untouched.
