This simple and sound dwelling house was conceived regardful of the inhabitants' need for noise protection. The stairs are spatially as well as architecturally the dominating feature of this house interior. Like all structural parts, supporting boom and bearings are made of spruce wood, treads, balusters and cross beams of ash. Treads are fixed to the wall by dowels and on their free side supported on a boom shifted inward. On the floor of the basement the boom is supported on and bolted to a T-bracket, and fixed with a dowel to the upper floor.
