Since the secularization, the Cistercian cloister had fallen into disuse. Some 18 years ago, the former working quarters and extensive grounds of the cloister were purchased by a charitable organization that converted the former brewery, grain warehouse and the stairwell wedged between them into housing for people who require therapy. In order to conform to fire safety requirements, floors and the flight of stairs were executed in concrete. Treads and floors are covered with clay tiles, the warm hue of which harmonizes with the rusty red brickwork of the walls.
