Planting the facade of a building not only has aesthetic attractions and increases the qualities of the period one spends in a particular environment. In the cycle of the year, it also meets a lot of requirements far better than forms of construction based purely on technology, which is such a widespread phenomenon. The appropriate kinds of planting can lead to an optimization of buildings and the urban climate and make an effective year-round contribution to aspects such as evaporative cooling, seasonal shading, UV protection, thermal considerations, rainwater retention, particulate bonding, photosynthesis and design quality.
