By initiative of the Walton Family Foundation, a new school was founded in 2017 in Bentonville in the US state of Arkansas. The small city is currently home to about 55 000 residents and experiences strong population increase. People move to the town because it is also home to the headquarters of Walmart, the world’s largest retail corporation, founded by the Walton family. While Thaden School is a private school, its management aims at achieving a social mix. Therefore, tuition fees are oriented on the financial wherewithal of families.
